6th Grade Fees & Supplies
For the 2024-25 school year there is an art fee of $40. This is a one-time fee that covers a personal spiral bound, 100-page sketchbook for your child to use for assignments in class. It will also help with purchasing consumable supplies used during the year such as paper, paint, pastels, markers, colored pencils, metal, clay, etc. The $40 fee is required, however, no one will be turned away due to money; please let me know if you are unable to pay by sending an email to [email protected].
Grading
6th Grade students will receive traditional letter grades in art this year. Students and parents are encouraged to check grades in Aeries throughout the grading period.
Grading will be based on class participation (use of time, participation & clean up), sketchbook grades, and projects. Projects are graded with the use of a rubric, addressing specific objectives relating to each project. Click HERE to see a sample grading rubric.
